Arena #89: War Memorial Gymnasium - San Francisco vs. Sacramento St.

3rd stop in NorCal brought me to my 2nd West Coast Conference venue on the trip in the University of San Francisco to watch them take on a fellow Northern California opponent in the Sacramento St. Hornets.  It's amazing to think a national power like Gonzaga plays annually in a venue such as this, which looks no better than a slightly enlarged high school gym.  No video board, 1 concession stand...I think some Wisconsin high schools have more robust facilities than this place.  However, it is cool to see the history of when USF was relevant in the 1950s with some guy named Bill Russell taking them to back-to-back NCAA Championships.

Strong legacy of players to come through USF including the great Bill Russell

Not exactly a sellout for tonight's matchup...

USF for 3
